1.      Assertive/affirmative sentence: Subject+ verb+ object+ extension.

Example:       I eat rice.

2.      Interrogative sentence: (i) Auxiliary very+ subject+ verb+ object+ extension?

(ii) wh hy&³ word+ auxiliary verb + subject+ main verb+ object+ extension?

Example:       Do you eat rice?

            What do you eat?

3.      Imperative sentence: Main verb + c‡ii Ask

Example:       Open your book. (Command)

Please come here (Request)

Read attentively (Advice)

4.      Optative sentence: May/long + subject+ verb+ extension.

Example: May you be happy.

5.      Exclamatory sentence: (i) What a + adjective+ subject+ verb!

                                                       (ii) How + adjective+ subject+ verb!

Negative sentence: Subject+ auxiliary verb+ not+ main verb+ object+ extension.

Example: I do not eat rice.
